😄 Jeff's JK 😄 well this isn't a full correct answer but you can understand by this Html5 tags are generally templates their style can be read by web browser For example if you use bootstrap with some class name you can create beautiful cards but you have to install bootstrap or add a cdn so that browser read and render your html So h1 tag font size is already set so it renders h1 as big and h6 as small it is like to make things sensable h1 is biggest and h6 is small And you can change that just create a css variable and set your font size By css you can change font sizes https://code.sololearn.com/WX1L142093lR/?ref=app

ChillPill did they borrow the 6 sizes from MS Word, or did it happen the other way round?

Apparently as HTML was based on SGML and SGML had 6 heading types, HTML also used 6. https://www.sololearn.com/post/852177/?ref=app but no idea why SGML used 6. Seems like most academic/research style manuals used 5 heading levels at the time and they thought that an extra one might be needed in the digital world.

I think the reason why the number 1 in the biggest heading and the number 6 in the smallest heading because I think we count by 1, 2, 3s, not 3, 2, 1s! (Except when it is New Year's Eve which it is NOW!) Edit: (I edited some grammar.) Also, HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆

Because according to rule 1 is always given more priority then other numbers. So h1 is biggest
