What about networking TCP/IP, security and SSH/RSA encryption, other programming languages, protocols, application architectures, diagnostic protocols and tools, analysis methodologies, development IDE principles, cloud facilities, OSs and hardware?

Computing is a fundamentally diverse field and ignorance of the plethora of tools available is going to leave new architects woefully under-tooled to handle the world of tomorrow.
