Java Challenges for true beginners

Hi guys I just recently started the java course. I'm a true beginner with absolutely no coding background whatsoever. Do you guys think these challenges are truly at beginner level? As I don't find it complicated to answer the questions from the quiz, the challenges are almost discouraging since I feel like I've been given barely enough information to solve them and don't have enough practice yet. Looking in the comment session it seems like a lot of the people here already know how to code and just wanna learn a different language. I need to finish this course in one week. I'm not a slow learner or anything but these challenges are really taking a lot of my time. Is this normal? I'm finding them pretty complex for someone that just started. Thanks

I suppose what may seem easy to some will appear difficult for others, and vice versa. Which challenges are you referring to, though? There are many different types; course challenges, code coach challenges, community challenges, and community lesson challenges. The easiest will be the challenges in the course. The hardest are those created by the community, and also the code coaches. The biggest thing with these challenges is that they challenge you to think programmatically and to actually apply what you've learned in a real world scenario. They take time at first, but the more you do, the more experience you obtain, and the faster you will be able to solve these logical, math, and programmatic problems. Don't get discouraged, just view them all as practical learning experiences. Also don't rush the course - take your time to learn the basics thoroughly, that way when you do come to something harder, you'll know how to proceed.
