Java, cause python is simpler and better to read.
I think this is what you want to hear...

I have been a Java developer for 7 years and have recently started learning Python. So far I do agree that Python syntax is easier to learn at first and it's far simpler to execute programs using Python than Java.

the hardest thing to learn is how to program. once you are good at any programming language, you can learn another much faster because you recognize patterns ( if is if in most of the languages, only syntax is different), but first time you are learning to program you see many new things which may be confusing. of course, switching to for example functional language would be different.

How does it feel, when you after 7 years java learning and developing find a better and easier language?

Firstly I would never say that any programming language is better than another. Almost everything can be done with any language it just comes down to personal preference. As RedAnt correctly states once you know one language learning others becomes much easier. Been programming professionally using Java, Swift, Ruby and Javascript over the last few years. They all have their pros and cons. Python has a nice easy learning curve for a beginner in my opinion.
