Using Macs TextEdit

Question

Hello there I am using macOS Sierra and when I type in tags in TextEdit, all tags are visible.
Is there a problem with the edit.

The code is the basic from the fundamentals part.

try to save your file as .html, that way the browser will know how to read the file correctly
