I just got signed out in the middle of a course and now my account is gone.

Question

I was in the middle of a course and when i tried to run some code i got signed out of my account and my login credentials no longer worked. I created a new account with my email to see what would happen and it let me create a fresh account. I also am currently running the free trial and will be charged $70 in a few days. Whats going on? Did i just lose all my progress?
