The populer Languages in IoT

Question

According to a survey done by The Eclipse IoT working group and IEEE IoT, Java was the most used language to develop IoT solution, while C++ was in 5th position. Any thoughts ?

Some say C is the best but I guess it really depends on the power of the devices you work on and on which level. Historically, C and C++ rule in the embedded systems domain. Personally I use mostly Python and some Java. Good topic by the way.
