When i open java script playground it has stuff already written on it. I cant figure where i need to write my code

You created a new Web code?
The HTML & CSS section are preloaded with the very basic code of a web page. Just switch to the JS section to write your JS code, it is by default empty (no code preloaded).

If this is not what you mean to ask, then kindly elaborate your problem with more details so people here can help you out.
