Please what is wrong with line 42?

I have been trying to make This stuff work since it has been displacing #mess.match(....) Is not a function, line 42. I have used all the kind of eyes I got to view it but I have not seen it😭
Please can someone help me look into this code and check for the errors i'd be very grateful....
