What's the difference between website and web application?

hello Kirushnapillai Nivatharan i think website is any website in the web.. but web application is something smarter than normal website. it's working like an app . it use your device option (like camera or location) and solve a problem you want... i hope I understandable my English is no too good đŸ€ŠđŸ» wish you luck ------ ------ ------ Important addition normal website is usually static web-app is responsive

a website is any web content... a web app is a website wich use intensivelly js (at user side) to act as an app' (software) conversely to what said Dror Krief , there's no relation between responsiveness and website or web app... no more than "normal" (as no app) website being necessarly "static" or web app being necessarly "dynamic" (not static)... responsiveness is if any kind of website (app or not, static or not) is able to adapt its display according to device screen size... static or dynamic is if any kind of website is stored as file wich do not change upon requests or as template wich is used to build page according to requests ;)
