Can a data analyst become a data sciencrist and vice versa?

Data science and data analytics are different but do have some similarities, is it possible to transition from one job/title to another? If so how long does it take on average

If you’re unsure, you can always toss a coin. It will not be crucial for the rest of your life. There will always be a way to complete later if there is somthing you miss. So feel with your heart: if you want to work with (the info in) existing data, so choose data analytics; if you want to find out new methods to capture and analyze data, choose data sceintist.

Yes, a data analyst can transition to a data scientist, and vice versa. While both roles work with data, data analysts focus on interpreting data for business decisions, while data scientists use advanced techniques like machine learning or statistical models for predictions. To switch from a data analyst to a data scientist, you'd be required to learn advanced analytics, machine learning, or programming (like Python or R). Conversely, moving from data science to analytics would require focusing more on business insights and reporting.
