Some useless programs at the Most Popular Codes

I dont know why but some codes at CODEPLAYGROUND are really of no use but has got an upvote of more than 100. Here are some CODES which should not get so many upvotes:- The "real" Christmas Tree- Very simple program Toss the Coin Hundred Times- Its not very interseting. Nothing creative. Print 1 to 100 without loop- Anybody can make that. Nothing Special Generate a Pyramid-Anybody can make that. Nothing Special I know there were hearts involved in these programs and i dont critisize posting these programs. All i am saying is to be more judgemental when you give an upvote. You cant upvote a "Hello World" just because the developer was excited about his first program. If you do upvote such codes than the whole point of competition in codeplaygrond will be of no use. If you agree PLEASE GIVE AN UPVOTE to this discussion. Lmao. Got too many downvotes. Downvotes are accepted too.

@Winter please be my guest and look at this code of mine which just print odd number from 1 to 10 but has got more than 50 up votes. Maybe 60% upvote cause I have made some really good friend but 40% may have learn something new as I have learned. Funny thing is I have upvoted to a my code posted by other under different name cause he saw something which he find interesting, though it will be good to make it private. You don't need to upvote everything but please make time and try to learn the logic behind the program. In my opinion this thread has enough answer, so please add "Answered" in your question. This will stop down vote. My code: https://code.sololearn.com/cDeE2563TWhb/?ref=app

Learn to appreciate...!!! -_- As for every person his code is like a new source of happiness here. You might think there's nothing special about the codes but almost everyone here is a beginner. *You seem far to advanced for this shit... ~_~*

Well... Your codes certainly seem to be soooooooo much more creative and practical than those.

@WINTER I see that you have mistaken the purpose of Code Playground. This isn't some kind of stupid competition. It's a place where both beginners and experts practice and share their codes in order for other beginners to learn from examples.

It isn't a competition there.. Those are the codes liked by the community. As you say print the nos 1-100 without loop might be easy but that person has done it using recursion which is quite a complex thing to master. The upvote button is only present so that you can like the idea, the coder has implemented in his code and not just the output of the code.

I disagree. For every user it's his own achievement. And another step to greatness. It has to be appreciated.

@WINTER The upvote option is there for users to mark which codes are beneficial to others. The Most Popular option is provided by SoloLearn to sort the codes based on upvote count. This also exists in Facebook as 'Likes', and doesn't mean that a competition exists. If any, I would say that the competition exists in your head, misleading you to categorize and judge other codes as 'useless', 'incompetent', etc. This is simply not the case. Every code which runs successfully (or even codes which throws errors) are beneficial to some level of learning.

@WINTER With all due respect, I still do think that there are things worth learning from your codes. This is why your codes, although not necessarily complex or fascinating, has got upvotes from some SoloLearners. Perhaps not a lot find it as mesmerising compared to our top codes, but a few upvotes are also something to cherish, instead of undermining other codes in Code Playground.

@WINTER Tell that about how I haven't done any courses to a seasoned SoloLearner. That will make a good April Fools joke. :> <Redacted lines which contains unnecessarily grammatical rage>

Allright, go somewhere else... I totally disagree because this is the place where both beginners and experts show their work... If you think you are pretty advanced, go to other places... Not everyone knows how to do a loop to print between 1 and 100, not everyone knows how to print a pyramid. This is not a competition with the most complex and awesome codes.. I hope this post is a April Fools Joke

@WINTER the answer might be simpler than you'd think it a comes down to one thing eventually: Exposure whether a code is complex, simple, useful, useless, password generator, etc.... a good exposure could bump up the code very fast. now what causes a good exposure? • Selected as Code Of the Day • Advertising codes in the Q&A section • Getting some luck in the initial launch off of your code and get to top Trending quickly, which from there the exposure is continous (you are already at the top Trending), and that bring me to the next rather long point: • At the time of first saving of your code, that time is when the code will be displayed on your profile page (if it is public of course), and therefore will be visible to your followers. So if for instance you have created a code, messed with it for a few days and only then made it public, for other users who follow you and more people, that notification on their feed might require some scrolling down, which by result, decreases Exposure. so you see, eventually it is a mix of luck or some persistence (and of course some good coding, usually xD ) and on that finishing note: might as well advertise 😜 https://code.sololearn.com/WrQyYYtmHxwH/?ref=app https://code.sololearn.com/WgVrnV4GeLpD/?ref=app

@WINTER You may upvote which you think was beneficial to you. But you can not force us to obey you. We don't just like every program we see! But we may like something that you may hate. That doesn't mean we should be exactly like you. !!!We may like anything that was beneficial to us. You are nobody to give us orders!!!
