I dont think SoloLearn is for me.

I thought I would learn and know the basics of sololearn, but I still don't know them. I'm still a beginner and felt like I learned nothing. I now see that I may also need to devote more time and effort to learn and master programming. I want to make a game, program a robot, make an app, a website, and develop a game system. One day I will do this. I thought Sololearn was a good place to start, but it feels like its for those who already know the programming language and just need some clarification with the topic they need to learn. I feel I should just wait and take a class for it instead because I might be wasting my time here learning how to program. Maybe programming aint for me and I haven't notice that yet. Maybe my methods of learning to program are wrong. I know there is no proper or one way ticket to learn and master programming, everyone is different. I would appreciate any advice on how to learn programming and where to start and if so, how much time and effort I might need to devote myself to it. Including whether or not I may need to pay for a class, since learning on my own isn't working at the moment. Plus I have to pay or use those cubes thingies to do their practice sessions which is a downer for me. And I feel like codeacademy is the same way.

Hi Favian Madrigal I started @ Sololearn 2+ years ago as a complete beginner. It took me 2 days to figure out print("Hello World!") The problem with self learning is you must first understand how the lessons are presented, then you must practice the lesson you have learnt. Reading and answering questions only will not help you develop the syntax to write the language you are doing. The Code Coach challenges are a great tool for learners to develop their syntax and problem solving skills. As for time spent learning, I spend half an hour a day minimum, more if time allows. Some of that time will be looking at other people's codes or looking through the Q&A section where you can learn heaps from the answers given. Use Sololearn to bump start your career, so that when you start your courses, you will be familiar with the concepts of coding. I noted your first language is C#, which is a great language, but with difficult syntax. (lots of writing) Might I suggest you try Python. The syntax is easier.

1. Sleep well 2. Believe in yourself 3. Put a clear aim (just one at a time, and whatever it is, make it done) 4. Eat elephant by little pieces 5. You will never know everything about everything, admit it. 6. Hang around with people who greater, better, smarter than you 7. Practice a lot. I know it is painful. But trust me nobody will do practice instead of you. this is like drink or food you need it to do by your own.

I would suggest to start with Python, so you can really enjoy coding. It is more understandable, you can get the logic better. And it is important to learn, repeat and solve exercises daily basis. SoloLearn is really cool but you should search also from other sources. And there is many free sources. And please don't give up if you really enjoy coding.

Amongst all people, only the prodigy goes smoothly without so much difficulty in learning compares to others. You must understand the road to master programming is very difficulty. When you start, small things will workout easily, but as you go further things become more cumbersome than before. Finally every full stack will tell you its easy because they pass through the same way plenty of difficulties. Favian Madrigal your first difficult is your own expectations to sololearn. You should go slow a little bit and take it as it and discover its benefit along the road. Surely you're in right place. Just give it sometime. You got this. 1. If you're new in coding try start with web designing language -html -css -php They will surely give you light 2. But if you want to do object oriented programming, try to follow what others suggested. Especially Python its a bit easier than other Oops langs. Best of luck 👍
