What is the use of learning data structures?

As a programmer what advantages do you get from having vast knowledge about data structures,illustrate with example?

Without data structure, a programmer doesn't come to know how to represent data

Without ds, there is no database

Without the database, there is no storage

There is no way how to design a programming language

There is no concept of OS
Means no system software
This leads to no application software

There is no concept of theory of automata
Principles of programming etc

All of the above are based on ds only
