Well, software testing doesn't needs any language! Languages are used only while software engineering!

As I've said, no language is used for any testing purpose bro! I must ask : Who said you this? These languages are used in building any executable set of codes as per ones needs/desire!

Usually you do the testing in the language you have written the code in. For gui tests there is special software like Test Complete or others.

I want to ask that perl, python are used mostly in testing of software or any other like that?

Java is also pretty well-supported across different platforms. orthen, like you said, Selenium, which is one of the most widely-used automation testing tools, supports Java nativel. That makes it easier to integrate into a lot of existing CI/CD pipelines.
