What should I learn?

Java or javascript.......which is best??

I would say learn javascript because its super useful both front end and back end . and it has grown on the list of highest paying languages but also remember each language has a unique ability from another. Hope this is helpful.

Katalo Andrew Jedidial JavaScript is not a programming language it's a scripting language and also JavaScript is used in Frontend not in backend. There are two type of languages: 1 - Client Side which is JavaScript not talking about Node JS. 2 - Server Side which is Java Both languages have common name Java so many people get confused.

If you want to do front end web development, do Javascript.

These languages are different. Java is backend and JavaScript is frontend.

Both are completely different. JS is the big three front-end languages. Java is programming language which is vast by far, having over 5000 functions(may be exaggerated)

If it is for web development :- Java is perfect for developing large web applications because of its ability to communicate with a large number of systems. You can use it with backend. Javascript can serve both purpose frontend and backend. In case software applications Java is the deal to go with.
