What is web 3.0 all about and how can someone use it?

I got into the Hive blockchain and I found out that the hive. Blockchain uses web 3.0 and they have created something called half where python programming comes to play, so I decided to bring this question to get a heads up on what am going into.

Hariton With it being based on the Blockchain it is meant to become almost as private as software like the Tor network. You are also meant to be able to profit off of your own data instead of big tech taking your data and selling it to other companies
