Why do I need to level up in sololearn?
What are the benefits of level up here. Is it more valuable?

Considering that completion of a lesson was one of the activities that grants you XP (which affects your level); level up is expected to mean that you have improved yourself, by learning something along the way.

It is absolutely meaningless. It's just a vanity metric to keep badge hunters happy.
