I have like 10,000 commits that I don't know where they came from: where could they be coming from and how can I fix it?

It might be a bug or something, but you should first change the password of your account, and you may want to report it to GitHub.

I found a different solution that I haven’t implemented. Apparently git is committing everything in my user folder instead of specific folders so i need to move the root from user and also add a git ignore file
