Do you think rooting my Android device is a bad ideal?

cuz.some people say that it slows down the device and others say that the rooted device is not safe.and easy to hack or get by viruses...

Mine became faster... ~_~ (with root you can block autostarts, overclock your cpu, e.t.c...)

I'm curious as to which idiot said that rooting a phone would cause it to become slow.

@SIGMA if you do not know what you are doing better not to do it. if you ready for the risk, then go. don't do it just because somebody else told you. my suggestion, learn root first. like new rom has to be match to your hardware specs. and many other thing. if you are ready, then take full advantage of rooting.

If you do, try not to delete important system apps. When I was new to rooting phones I tried to copy them to external storage. I removed the originals. Big mistake. Reinstalling them was a struggle. Eventually I was able to recover them. Hopefuly you do not do that.
