Best way to get a job with coding? What projects to work on, how much experience I need etc.

Just started coding, learning python at the moment! I’ve got the basics in. I know it’s going to get harder as I go. But so far I’m enjoying it a lot and considering to drop university and focus on this full time as I know the career aspect of coding is very diverse and a overall a great career to get into.
Question is, how much relative experience would you say I would need to land a job as a software engineer? Would I need to be a master at coding ? 😂

It totally depends on the job market where you wish to work. Every new hire must be trained for the new job whether they have no experience or 50 years of it. If more jobs exist than people looking for them, no experience can easily get a job. If more are looking for the jobs than those available, experience does not help. They hire the one that costs the least.

In short, you need to be familiar with programming, meaning that you must be able to program something that (not necessarily hard) you will be requested to. The other thing that you must have (and this is an opinion from my personal experience) is to be good (or very good) at something special. For example, if you are good with a python framework or tool or technology and you can create things (apps, software etc) then this is a big plus. I would not recommend quitting your studies because it will help you in the future for sure. Sometimes you need luck to get hired into a job but you must hunt for it, meaning that you have to create a portfolio with your works and start to send CVs to "open" job requests. You do not have to be a master in coding but you have to be at least good. You will be a master after getting experience with a job or via your studies (even if this job is a hobby or your studies are a BSc or MSc). People with 6 months' experience got a job as developers (juniors). To find what projects you need to get hired, you can search for open python positions now and see what they ask for (this is a trick that I learned late) and then you can start learning the technologies they ask to get the qualifications.
