@Helioform... It requires 16GB space, but after clearing temp installation files, it doesn't take up 16GB.

Windows 7... because it's lighter than Windows 10.

@Helioform If that's the case, I have quite the piece of impossible sitting in front of me.
Capacity: 27.8 GB
Used space: 13.8 GB
Lenovo Ideapad 100s
Windows 10 Home Single Language
32-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
I even have Octave installed on C: drive, taking up 1.04GB.

Lenovo ideapad 210s

My observations seem to differ from @Helioform's claim. In contrast actually. I can't remember what was the exact load of Win7, but my current hardware (Intel Atom, 2Gb DDR3, 32GB eMMC, Intel Graphics) runs smoothly with Win10 installed. Boot time within 10 seconds. Win7 on the same specs flips that boot time by double or even triple.

@Helioform My device max usable cap was 27.8Gb on a 32Gb eMMC. Win10 fresh install after format took up only 12Gb for me. I'm not seeing bloat on my side either. Version/hardware issue perhaps. You got the bloated one xD

@Hatsy Rei is right. Not to mention we have them computer Rei 😉. @Helioform, the Lenovo ideapad 100s has a 4GB RAM if you haven't upgraded it or installed an external hard drive for extra RAM capability (a Microsoft unique adaptation). It's is obviously only 4GB because it's a 32-bit computer. It can be increased, I don't know how yet, but I think you may be referring to the amount of physical memory. Yes, Windows10 requires at least 16GB of physical space. The Lenovo IdeaPad 100s has a 500GB hard drive. Maybe a hundred of those are Microsoft stuff and Lenovo stuff. The rest is the users. Yes, Microsoft has bloatware that takes up precious RAM, but what are you gonna do, it Microsoft.

@SoraKatadzuma I was about to go YAY WE HAVE THE SAME HARDWARE but realised you may be talking about another Ideapad 100s. 😐 I'll provide a link to mine shortly.

Mainly Debian GNU/Linux... on differents flavors.
Some vestige of Windows here or there ( until 7; 8/8.1 just tested in virtual environnement, no intention to see 10 from more near, even to know the ennemy :P )
Mac/OSX is too expensive... in money, while Microsoft/Win is also too expensive... in ressources ^^

Linux(Ubuntu) for coding, Windows for gaming.

@Hatsy, I was referring mostly to HD space. Windows 10 comes with a lot of bloatware that can take up to 60 gb of space...

@Hatsy Rei, that's not possible since Windows 10 requires a minimum of 16 GB to run...that does not include all updates and apps.

@Hatsy Rei, here are the system requirements directly from MS:

It must be your HD...
