How to dualboot window7 with linux?

I would suggest to have a virtual box for Linux instead of going for dual boot. Many ready to use flavors of Linux VDI are available on net use them. Even you can opt for live Linux distributions which can run without installation.

make partition in Windows so that there should be space in hard disk other than win drives or use disk manager tools, boot Linux from a USB device create partition using g part in Linux and install Linux on created partition, for more details there are some YouTube videos that you can refer.
