what are major differences between html and html5?

like any pros and cons of html which were resolved in html5

People keep mistakinly refer to html and html5 as two different things.. Others keep telling them that html5 IS html.. It is just an "upgrade".. new things added.. some old made deprecated..

ZinC said it is an upgrade and it works the same but people depend on css more with html5

@xzys True, but the question is wrong. One should ask about the differences between versions.. Like html 4.01 vs html 5. Not html vs html 5. Or just ask what's new in html 5.
