What are some "outside the box" ways you use HTML? Or, ways you find more efficient.

Regards to markup language you can try to explore XML or read about it for a more diverse idea of markup languages. Its very static like and other actual programming languages adhere to it and therefore utilize the markup of HTML/XML for more functional things but as dirt to sprout from. Such as PHP, JS, etcetera. Id be hard pressed to find anything outside the box with html that doesnt utilize an actual programming language also.
Thus the reason I learned PHP was to have action! Thus 4 web applications were born in the coming years.
Try making a CSS fading text like the oldschool <blink> or <marquee> tags.
