We can't insert code/post while editing?

Question

Just now, I posted an answer to a question and found that I inserted the wrong code. So, I clicked "Edit" only to find that a code/post can't be inserted while editing. I had to delete my answer and repost. This should be changed.

I have to copy paste my old post to new post, if i want to edit/add my link.

it will be annoying if someone make fake account and start answering with blank answer.

@Manual : Complexity of both ways are same.

@Agus : And, I saw your post "blank". If we post an answer and edit it to blank, blank post is being accepted and displayed. That should be changed too.

You did not need to delete your post.

You can add the link to your new code.

insert from new comment then copy the link to your old comment.

It may be a hassle, but,

until you can add it directly you do not have much choice.
