that is pretty cool, I believe a lot of cad software have support for custom pluggins in python, maybe you can explore how to create one yourself

(I know blender uses python)

That's great, Definitely I should look how stuffs work in cad software by python. Gonna be a bit challenging for a Mechanical Engineer though.
