How to activate an account

Well I've been trying to send message to fellow members and it says I should check my email to activate but there's no any related "activation" message from the app. So can anyone please help or answer why this is happening, Thanks in addy

Your account already is activated, you don't need to do anything.

The messaging feature unlocks ~3 weeks after account creation, just keep learning.
