Should i be master in java to start learning android and how long it takes for learning android?

for android you pretty much only need core java. nothing too advanced. although learning the android api is like learning a new language. there is a lot of stuff to learn

you dont have to be master in java to start learning android. You can just be decent at java then learn android. Since as you do android dev, you are also doing java. Hence you will also be practicing on java.

android is simply a platform. the difference between a pc program in java and an android app is the GUI and that part is handled by android studio (unless you want to learn xml and write it yourself) .. but in the background, all the business is being handled by Java *Other languages can do android, but why force it when Java was meant for the task
