Sorting answer on date.

Question

sorting answer on the basis of date makes the question n answer forum more or less like group chat... it is an answer to the question raising today about introducing chat feature in sololearn.
please comment your opinion on this and do also raise your vote if you would prefer a personal chat feature in Sololearn.

I think since people tend to strike a conversation in threads (and there are no rules against it), sorting by date is essential. I also think that while global chat is made available, this might take away the chat load from Q&A, which can be a good thing, or also a bad thing. This means that people might interact less in the forums.

Still, there are doubts that chat system would take away Discuss Section functionalities. Some people may still prefer to talk in the threads compared to real time chat - This is because threads are always focused on a common topic, and everyone takes their time to mend their posts for an appropriate answer. Chat, on the other hand, has no such formalities. What I think we should have, is closed group/guild chats for people working on a same project, and private chats between two users. This would retain Q&A functionalities in the discuss section while taking unnecessary talk out of it.

moreover it is a necessity to show off your project today... code playground on the place doesn't satisfy all the needs... n posting it on q/a forums... is called a spam by users... a group chat feature may help in this scenario.

Still, Q/A are here for the primary reason of programming related stuff. A post for chatting wouldnt be much convenient and would look like a mess/chaos. Chatting is more of talking about everything and anything and therefore, a dedicated system (global and private chat) would better do the work.
