Best text editor for MAC is Text Wrangler. It's really good

I use PyCharm. It helps finding errors in HTML code (not in CSS or JS).

PyCharm is also useful for programming python.

I guess you have to try and see wich one you get comfortable with, I guess Kommodo edit (free, not Kommodo IDE) is a good bet if you like notepad++.
