Anyone studying data science or a data scientist here?

I'm not really sure which courses I need to take in order to work in the data science industry. Google and Sololearn are making conflicting claims.

I don't see any conflicts between Google and Sololearn. :) Sololearn courses are very introductory, only cover the basics. There are good to get acquainted with the subject. But if you want to work in this field, eventually you need to find other sources, courses, tutorials, videos, blogs, anything that helps you learn. You can also ask questions on the Sololearn forum. For data science it is useful to learn Python, but also the R language is quite popular and it's possible to use other, general purpose languages like C++, Java or Kotlin.

You can try the search function of the forum, maybe you find something useful. https://www.sololearn.com/Discuss/1245698/?ref=app https://www.sololearn.com/Discuss/1270722/?ref=app https://www.sololearn.com/Discuss/975274/?ref=app https://www.sololearn.com/Discuss/1562411/?ref=app Apart from that https://www.datacamp.com/ has a promo this week only for free courses. https://www.kaggle.com/ has courses, challenges and public competitions, and online environment (notebook) to develop and present your models. https://developers.google.com/machine-learning/crash-course and others offered by Google. And there are plenty of courses on Udemy, Coursera and even YouTube, but I can't really recommend any specific one.
