Which programming language could be considered as the origin of all other languages?

As FORTRAN was the first programming language appeared, maybe it inspired other people to develop those other useful server side languages!

@Manual They are not programming languages I guess...and Machine language only understands 0 and 1:-)

Googling web, I found some interesting fact about Algol, a language that came into existence in 1958 primarily created for scientific use. It’s major contribution is being the root of the tree that has led to such languages as Pascal, C, C++, and Java. It was also the first language with a formal grammar, known as Backus-Naar Form or BNF
