lone app development

I want to be able to build Android apps from front to back on my own. What technologies should I focus on learning and how much am I going to have to get help from others whether I like it or not? In other words how realistic is it to build successful apps on your own? I'm seeing answers telling me about JAVA and Android studio but what about phone gap is that an easier option considering I'm familiar with web languages or am I still better off learning JAVA?

that depends on your grasp of Java and your grasp of xml.. Java generally runs the backend. Android studio does a solid job of handling the layout and such. You can do it alone. it just takes longer. Learn Java and start playing with Android Studio
