interpreter is machine translation program which convert high level language in machine language ... and it convert program into machine language line by line whereas compiler is also a language translation program which convert complete source code into machine code in a single step and prints list of error on the screen if there any in program

why do we need to have Interpreter in java while we have Java compiler then?
