programming is a permanent learning, so if you know something now it doesn't mean that it wouldn't change some day. so you should be ready and always study something new

Biggest tip, learn it slower. The faster you learn, the quicker you attempt things out of your league, the faster you realize you don't actually know what you're doing, and then ultimately quit. Take it slow. Most people quit programming for the exact reasons I gave above, believe it or not.
