I really think this is more a matter of opinion and what you are looking to develop, I have been looking for the same answer for a long time and my conclusion has been that PHP is the better option right now due to rhe endless amount of help and support which an older language like PHP offers, that said Node.js may or may not be better for the future, someone more experienced should be able to clear this up better for you, but that is just my two cents ;)

I never took any udemy course so I cannot say wether or not this will help you improve, but what I do know is that I feel i stumble upon more and more people having a positive experience with Node.js due to it being very fast, however with PHP7 speed is also looking very good, so again it may be more a matter of opinion and what it is you are looking to develop, if you wish to make a online chat which needs to handle a big amount of users/requests Node.js may handle it better and in other projects PHP may be better. I actually think instead of choosing between the two, make them work together?? Lets see if someone more experienced can clear up a thing or two for us ;)

@Muhammad Noman It still has a market yes and I think it will stay that way for quite a while due to the update(PHP7) a while back. I think looking at both languages and looking at some of the opensource projects that uses either NodeJS or PHP7 may be of help.

@ildemar Urrieta, could you explain more in depth why NodeJS will become more popular?

@informedmoon yeah maybe we should learn both languages and then decide which one to go with ahead, and yes have read some blogs, where they recommended Node.js.. but php is a very old language, it still has a Market..
