How can I inspire my friends to learn to program?

Eat some taco bell.. then... In the room next to them.. set up a laptop.. open some text editors.. a command prompt/terminal.. sololearn.... And then after all of that is set up.. walk into the next room where your friend is and fart. Once they vacate the room and walk into the one with the laptop etc. to be able to breathe, shut the door and lock them in. Ta-da!

just follow your own interests.. if they ask u questions, answer them, if they ask for help then help them. programming is not for eveyone. if u persist in trying to make them interested they will avoid u and think you are just Showing off.

THIS WORKS!!

Get them started with HTML. - very easy

- Once they learn small snippets, show them some popular websites.

- Start with static (html only)

And if they are interested they will begin to learn JavaScript, JQuery and there you GO!

Once they grasp little bit of HTML show them C programming because the keywords are easy and they will continue themselves.

That was how I started.

You can't, if they are not interested then they would not want to learn, really, I tried before. Yet, if they have interest in it, just do a very good program and explain them the easiest way posible how it works.
