WhatsApp OG is built by Erlang language. Then why it is not safe?

I want to download and install OG WhatsApp to enjoy its features but I learned it is unsafe. However, I found a reliable and official source to download it (Source: https://apkproland.com/download-og-whatsapp/). But I want to know, can erlang be customize easily.

1. WhatsApp is not just a mobile app, but a messaging service. The client side android app is built in Java. The server side backend, is built in Erlang, because this language enables high reliability and concurrency.

2. You may find some APK all around the internet, but in my opinion, the ONLY one guaranteed to be SAFE, is what you can download directly from whatsapp.com
