SoloLearn Refuses to give me a refund

Before anyone posts a comment of the policy refund, don't, I already read it. So like many other people who have made the same mistake as me, we got the trial, forgot to unsubcribe, and bam we get charged $70($100 for me since I'm Canadian). I noticed I got charged 1 hour after the fact and immediately contacted support about it. Reading other posts about it, apparently if you do it within 48hrs, you should get your money back? Regardless, support has gotten back to me and said they will not give me back my money. I have sent them a few emails back about it, hopefully they have a heart and give it back as I used only 0.0114% of the pro membership out of the year before requesting for a refund. Like I said before, I understand what the policy is, but I made a mistake, and I really hope this company can be forgiving as this is a lot of money for me. If this was any other company, they would have given me a refund no problem. Maybe there is a reason why the free trial is under the yearly subscribtion instead of the monthly : / Well that was my little rant, hopefully I get good news, but I'm doubtful.

Bummer! Sorry to read that. I guess you might have to learn the lesson of paying attention to deadlines, set reminders etc... something I almost always do in such a situation is cancel/quit the subscription as soon as my payment has gone through. You have the offered service for the time period and you've already quit, so it's not a problem if you forget. On the plus side, you still get the benefits of Pro, and you've supported a pretty awesome learning platform.

Usually I'm pretty good with remembering, just simply forgot this one time. Also paying $100 for forgetting is an extremly harsh "lesson", would of been fine with paying the montly price for this "lesson" : /. How I see it is that this company makes money off people who forget to unsubcribe, good on them for raking this money. There is no plus side.

Sorry that happened to you. Hopefully it all gets settled. Companies have to make money after all (not to mention this one is a pretty great learning platform like Ausgrindtube said), but you should be able to get your money back since it was a mistake. Dispute charges accordingly. Good luck.

Hey X-X, They basically told me "boo hoo we don't care" lmao. I am 100% convinced they make money from people forgetting to unsubscribe. And you are right, companies do need to make money, but from customers that actually want their product, not from the scummy way.
