Is it a bad or okay to learn Java and Javascript at the same time.

I know that java and javascript aren't the same thing. I'm currently taking a Java class at my school and I have some experience with HTML and CSS because of Khan Academy. I would like to learn a little about Javascript during my free time so that I learn about web development but I don't know if it's bad if I try to learn two languages at the same time.

There's nothing bad about it!

You are learning different subjects in school all the time without confusing the Pledge of Allegiance and the Pythagorean theorem. Maybe you learn a second language and don't mix up English and Spanish (or German) either.

If you feel for a bit of JavaScript, do it and have fun learning!
