Once upon a time..

Once upon a time.. there was very few people who could read or write simple letters, today there's very few that can't.. do you think programming will become a common knowledge? or do you think tech will just make programming obsolete? we are still kinda typing it up in the pioneer days.. it's about like inked feathers and some parchment then.. so what do you think will become of programming?

I think over time coding will be simplified via abstraction, good language design, and AI assistance. People will be able to code not because they are good at it, but because coding will be good at being written. It is a goal among many to have a coding language that is just pure English.
