why do I need to learn js?

I think, I don't need js to create website, css html and php is enough for me. I wondered why people really need js in web development?

JavaScript makes your web interactive so people can actually do things on it. If it was not interactive, people won't be able to do anything on it; just look at the paragraphs and the images. Adding JavaScript majes people be able to go on another web without having to quit it and makes you be able to play, or interact with it by going on different pages inside the current web.
