While Mihaly Nyilas is totally right, and you can search and maybe find work in that way.
My suggestion is to first get to work on a portfolio. Second step is to tell your friends and family and spread it out through your network that you have your skills and are looking for work. Some of it might not pay so well, but it is the beginning and it adds to the portfolio.
It builds from there.
You can then also start your freelancer career through websites and hopefully your portfolio will impress some people there - again, you'll probably have to start cheap until you get some 5 star reviews.

you will find some great sites. including a site where maybe 25 freelance portals are ranked, with descriptions....
