Leagues in sololearn

What is the purpose of the leagues? Are there any rewards for finishing at the top of a league or completing one? I see level-up and level-down zones. Is progression to the subsequent league dependent on the region I am in at the end of the week? Thanks in advance.

if you are in a top few, you will go the next league. the last league is Saturn (count the planets from the Mercury). in the last league you have to finish on the 1st place to earn a badge or achievement "Intergalactic champion". don't worry if you can't pass first time. if you are in the top few, you will have a chance to win next time, otherwise, you will 1 "level". I made it 3 times in-a-row, but there is only 1 badge or achievement.... good luck and happy coding! go forward and win that badge or achievement :-)
