how many time/month required to become a professional programmer in java?

any suggestion? how to learn properly without joning offline classes.

In my opinion to be able to write a little bit more difficult than helloworld, like a basic chat program with a GUI, you need at least 2 years.

i think Mayur is right. And to write a chat with gui in 2 years would be sad. its importent to do something everyday even if its only one line of code, just keep you on track
