it would be a great help. I am new and trying to learn but I feel like there are gaps in the info they give and the videos online seem to jump around and skip some basic steps that I am unaware of. I've always wanted to learn but always made excuses of why I couldn't but now I'm pushing myself to learn how to at least write a simple program within a week or so but I do not know anyone near me that codes.

Both, kind of. I want to be able to better understand what the lessons are trying to teach so I can learn faster and eventually be able to create my own simple program. Afterwards I should have a good enough grasp on how everything works so that future lessons and information won't be so hard to comprehend. Idk if that makes any sense at all. By all means if you have a good approach as to how I can learn the fastest and most efficient please let me know.

I didn't know that. I always thought Java was the easiest of the various languages. I'm learning Java because I want to eventually create Apps and Games for Android and IOS. I want to start simple with small simple apps until I get a better understanding. The only things I really have problems with are the abbreviations and where and how to place parenthesis, brackets, colons, dashes, and such. If you want you can add my Gmail for easier communication and sharing. Darkstartrademark@gmail.com
