Is it important for me to go to College for being a good programmer?

Most of good programmers are self-taught, for example in Italy the schools don't prepare you to being a good programmer, but the companies requires an official certificate, so... yes, if you want a job... in most cases, yes. I don't know about schools in other countries, maybe the situation is better than here, every case... a good programmer needs to be a good self-taught, because the school finish, but the tecnologies are updated, ever. ~ Sorry for my bad English =^=

I think "Yes". Because there you will learn a lot of logics and mathematical problems and solutions. These will help you in future. 😊

@Elias, I never learned anything of a computwr except paint in my school. I learned everything by self or by joining explicit courses

here in my country syria they lern us exel and qbasic and about hardware in the secondary but it is not very useful
