Linux has a far better system of patching security vulnerabilities, no backdoors which allow governments e.g. Snowden and rogue agents e.g. hackers and spies to spy on you from your own home for example, which can usually be done on Windows easily.

no some malware infected linux but it is very small in comparison to windows. there are some reason behind the low malware attack in Linux. 1. Linux distro is so many until black hat had difficulty to decide where he want to attack. 2. Linux is open source with many communities keep watching and issue a patch soon they detect vulnerabilities. 3. Linux is open source that make a lot of developer fall in love (including Black Hat with kali linux or other distro). and there are more but i forget it.

It uis just difficult to run any "uncontrolled" code on it, due to its execution organisation. But I don't think that makes it impossible to create viruses for Linux. Good examples are Android worms and viruses, there are many of them, despite Android is Linux-based OS

actually as a Linux user, I can say Linux have the most malware and viruses that currently exist, it just that not many normal users uses Linux and patches are released almost immediately. an attacker will not want to waste time to something that will bring less profit, almost all if not all hackers uses Linux. The execution design of Linux another factor that makes people think Linux is immune to viruses, because of the incredible design structure and layers of permission and security. Also 99.999% of Linux users are hackers, programmers, military and scientists, thus due to natural consciousness of those people they are more careful and resilient, not visiting sites they're not supposed to, not running any piece of binary or code with out the extreme knowledge of what that does.

Linux is incredibly secure. While antivirus programs for Linux do exist, Linux viruses are incredibly rare.
