I see your point. I happend to learn python and javascript when, I started. I believe you are right, going with C++ would be a great start. I was planning on recommending html for beginners, because part of it being easy to learn.

@Manual I would have suggested him to learn c.But there is no course in sololearn for c.So I thought instead of asking him to learn C ,I opted for C++. I started with C++ as a beginner two years back.

Yes Html is a lot easier. But c++ could result in learning oop languages like Java and some of the languages having step by step execution like a PHP or JavaScript or python a lot easier .

I'm currently a beginner learning programming. I have tried Ruby, python and html. Not sure about C. Best thing about html for web development after learning is that you can immediately apply what you learnt using notepad witout having to learn the Command line i.e. Ruby on the other hand is horrible. I have learnt it on codecademy bit cannot apply what i have learnt unless i have a ios macbook etc as its a nightmare just trying to starting it on a windows device. Any language that teaches you the Command line first i would recommend otherwise you will have problems later.

Anyone who has experience in C language and html, i would agree with if they preferred C. Besides that C is more or less the mother of languages. And C and related softwares are related in making games.
